Review Process

The Faith Center is proud to offer awards to five deserving seniors. Scholarships are awarded to offset a student’s cost to pursue post graduate education. TFC has many deserving seniors and to ensure that the application process is objective, non-biased, and transparent, TFC has created a board that will review applicant submissions. Each applicant will receive a blind grade number to conceal their identities during the review process. The board will consider the applicant’s 500-word essay, academic success, extracurricular activities, community involvement, and work experience. Board members’ children and children of TFC leaders are not eligible to receive a scholarship award. One student will be chosen from the following disciplines: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Healthcare, Education, Arts/Humanities, and Entrepreneurial Interest.

Essay Considerations:

• Content Relevance

• Critical Thinking

• Personal Reflection and Explanation of Future Goals

• Writing Quality

Students will receive written notice of their scholarship award. Awarded students will also be announced July 14, 2024 during TFC Sunday service.

Award Amounts

Five (5) students that meet all eligibility requirements and provide proof of enrollment to an eligible private college or university will receive a $1,000 scholarship to be applied towards tuition. Please note that all awards will be dispersed directly to the recipient’s school. The board reserves the right to withhold funds if the student does not provide verifiable proof of enrollment.

Failure to provide proof of enrollment will result in award forfeiture and the board will reassign the scholarship to an eligible applicant.

Distribution of Funds

Funds will send via check to the student’s financial aid office or Bursar. Students must be enrolled in a quailed educational organization. Qualified educational organizations include colleges, universities, and technical programs. Educational organizations must maintain a regular faculty and curriculum and normally have a regularly enrolled body of pupils or students in attendance at the place where their educational activities are regularly carried.

Release and Retention of Applications

In consideration of students’ acceptance of the scholarship, scholarship recipients consent to and permit The Faith Center to use their name, voice, picture, or other likeness for advertising, marketing, public relations, or other promotional purposes without compensation or notice, therefore. Applicants also grant The Faith Center permission to retain scholarship applications and materials for 1 full calendar year. After one year, scholarship applications will be discarded.
